What it is genuinely good at
A 100W single-port ceiling is the right ceiling for most laptops. Everything in the 65–100W band, a 14″ MacBook Pro included, charges at full speed from one port.
Dynamic allocation beats fixed splits. Fixed-split chargers reserve watts for ports that may be empty; reallocating designs hand the budget to whatever is plugged in — the difference between a laptop keeping 90W and being pinned at 60W by a second port.
Where it falls short, and who should skip it

It is a large object. A desk brick that plugs into a wall, not a travel charger. For a bag, a 65W three-port is a fraction of the volume for most of the capability.
