Two caveats worth more than any adjective. Nano is a family name, not a model number: Anker has shipped several 30W-class single-port units across generations, and the folding-prong housing has been revised. And the presence of a PPS range varies by SKU. Confirm both on the listing you are actually buying rather than trusting any review, this one included, to describe the revision in front of you.
What it is genuinely good at
Covering an iPhone with headroom to spare. Current iPhones peak around 20–27W and then taper hard past 50% state of charge. A 30W supply is not faster than a 20W one across the cycle, but it holds that peak longer instead of sitting pinned at its own ceiling — and it does the same for an iPad Air or iPad Pro, which ask roughly 30W.
Surviving a bag. Folding prongs are the most underrated feature on a travel charger: fixed pins snag fabric, bend and eventually loosen in the housing. With 100–240V input, this is a one-object solution for a trip that needs nothing else but a cheap plug adapter.
Where it falls short, and who should skip it
One port is one device. An iPhone and a pair of AirPods overnight means two wall sockets. If that is your reality, the Apple 35W dual USB-C or any 65W three-port covers it for a small premium.
30W is a ceiling, not a starting point. It is the wattage of Apple's own base MacBook Air brick, so the Air charges — but its fast-charge behaviour needs 35W and above, and a 14″ MacBook Pro under real load can consume 30W faster than the adapter supplies it.

Is a 30W charger faster than a 20W one for an iPhone?
Marginally, and only early in the cycle: iPhones peak in the low-to-mid 20W range and then taper.
Can the Anker Nano 30W charge a MacBook Air?
It will charge one — 30W is the same wattage as Apple's base Air adapter. It cannot fast-charge one: that needs 35W or more, and Apple ships a 70W unit for it.
Does it support PPS for Samsung phones?
That varies by revision, so check the listing for an explicit PPS voltage and current range. Even where PPS is present, 30W is below the 45W that Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0 requires on an S Ultra or Tab Ultra.
