Almost every disappointment with this adapter traces back to one misreading. The 35W is delivered across both USB-C ports combined — not 35W per port.

Apple publishes 35W as a combined figure and does not publish a complete per-port matrix, so plan for this: one device can be offered the full budget, two divide it. Never assume a laptop still receives 35W while a phone occupies the other port.
What it is genuinely good at
One outlet, two small devices, one brick. An iPhone plus an Apple Watch puck is the ideal load: the Watch draws so little that the phone keeps almost the whole budget. Apple also lists it among the adapters that fast-charge a MacBook Air — a claim assuming the Air is the only device connected — so it doubles as light travel kit for an Air.
Where it falls short, and who should skip it
The shared budget is the whole limitation. A MacBook Air on one port and an iPhone on the other is not a 35W laptop charge plus a 20W phone charge — it is 35W divided. If the real use case is "laptop charging while my phone tops up", a 65W-class three-port GaN is the right adapter.
No PPS, so no Galaxy reaches Super Fast Charging 2.0 here; no port exceeds 35W; the compact housing's prongs do not fold. Skip it if you charge two things fast at once, own a Galaxy, or need more than 35W for one device.
