Where Apple wins
At exactly one point on the curve: 140W. The Apple 140W adapter implements PD 3.1 with a 28V rail and pairs with the MagSafe 3 cable that ships in the 16″ MacBook Pro box, and Apple's implementation has the longest field record at that voltage. Apple also wins any time the purchase is a warranty conversation — a machine in for service, or a fleet with a single approved part number. And the thin catalogue is a feature: there is exactly one 96W adapter, not nine variants with different port tables.
Where Belkin wins
Everywhere below 70W. A Belkin dual-port GaN unit in the 60–65W class charges a MacBook Air and a phone from one outlet, folds flat, and typically arrives with a cable — three things no Apple adapter under 100W does. Because Belkin builds on GaN, the volume-per-watt gap widens as wattage climbs: Apple's higher-wattage bricks are still large silicon designs. Verdict
Buy Belkin below 100W, buy Apple at 140W. For a phone, a tablet, a MacBook Air or a 14″ MacBook Pro, the Belkin GaN unit gives you the same certification bar in a smaller body with more ports and a cable — Apple charges more for less on that whole stretch of the range. Above 100W the calculus flips, because the 28V EPR profile is where implementations differ most and Apple's is the reference. The exception: anyone maintaining a machine under AppleCare or a managed fleet should buy the Apple part regardless of wattage, purely so the support conversation has one fewer variable. Can a Belkin charger fast-charge a MacBook Pro 16 inch?
Only if it is rated 140W and explicitly lists a 28V PD 3.1 profile, and only with a 240W-rated USB-C cable. A 100W Belkin will charge the machine, just not at fast-charge speed.
Does Apple make a multi-port charger?
One: the 35W Dual USB-C Compact, which shares 35W across two ports. Every other current Apple adapter is single-port, which is the main structural reason to look at Belkin or another third party.
